Windy, Wet, Gray, And Ugly

It's 7:30, windy and wet on a 43º morning. A winter storm is predicted for late Saturday night and Sunday. Five to ten inches are possible with 45mph winds. I assume that's the worst scenario and we will have to wait and see how bad it is. 

This Morning's View From Our Couch

Yesterday was a different day, a Friday that began as usual with a paddle. It was a good morning on the lake but by 9:15, we were driving to Buffalo for a doctor's appointment. It was an hour and twenty minute drive and we easily made the 11:00 appointment. By 12:30, we were enjoying lunch at Ted's Hot Dogs in Orchard Park. Ted's is a popular hot dog fast food restaurant in Buffalo and yesterday was no exception as there was a line for ordering and the seating area was busy. We split a foot long with fries and a Coke and were happy. We were home by 2:00, deciding not to stop and do any shopping in Fredonia which we usually do.

We were both tired from the drive so I tried to read but ended up having a good nap. I was hoping to have the mojo to take a bike ride before the return of bad weather but I bagged the idea and even took the bike rack off my car and got out the snow shovel, having prematurely put it away. We had our happy hour after Evie put together our vodka pasta dinner. The weather was starting to change and we were happy to be cozy in our home. Dinner was great, a tasty pasta with a salad and we watched another episode of Marcella then some junk TV before tiring and going up to bed.
