It's 8:00 and I have been up since 7:15, enjoying my coffee and watching the weather to see if the lake is good for a paddle. It's warmer than yesterday, 28ยบ, and we received an inch of snow overnight and more is expected today. It's 9:20 and I just returned from a forty-five-minute paddle, in light snow and some choppy waves. I spotted both an eagle and more wood ducks but was unable to get any blog-worthy photos except for a mallard.

Yesterday was lazy Sunday as we both spent too much time in front of the Boob Tube instead of getting outside and walking. I did, however, get in a fifty-minute paddle, the first in a couple of days. After my breakfast and the blog, we both thought about going for a walk or driving to Red's for a pancake breakfast but settled on pancakes at home, just as good. We watched CBS Sunday morning. And that got us to the afternoon where I watched more basketball, read, and napped and that was it for my afternoon. Evie was pretty much the same, enjoying a do-nothing Sunday.
After wine time, Evie heated up the leftover beef stew and mashed potatoes for our dinner, along with a salad and homemade bleu cheese dressing. We watched another episode of The End Of Us and saved the Oscars. By 9:00, we were able to watch the rest of the Oscars without commercials until the last half hour. We made it to the end, 11:30, then went to bed tired but happy.
