We were fogged in when I got up at 6:40 but now, at 7:10, it's cleared up and we have open skies and some sunshine. It's still cool out , 56º when I woke and will get up into the high 70s later in the day. It's 8:30 and I paddled for 35 minutes on a spectacular morning. As I paddled near Long Point, at least 20 bass boats roared by, creating a bumpy paddle, as I headed home.

When I got home, I finished up the blog, enjoyed some leisure an dthen we talked about what to do with our day now that it was open, with nothing that we had to do. We then worked on and off for most of the morning, me outside, in the garage and attic, and Evie inside in all the bedrooms. We were both tired for some reason so we took lots of timeouts, to gain a bit of energy to keep doing things. I think we have a family hangover, having been up and excited for ten days, and now, with them gone, we are on a downer. Anyway, I had an easy lunch, the leftover sub from The Ash and I watched the second half of Caitlin Clark's 10 assist game. I think I am typical of most basketball fans, taken with her play and enjoy watching her which is good, a life line to the WNBA.
I had a dermatologist appointment at 1:40 so I first dropped cans off at the can man, leaving with over ten bucks worth of reimbursement. I had a good report from my body scan, no problems, so I was on my way to where else, Wegmans, for another quick run-through. Usually, Friday is busy but for some reason, I got in and out quickly. When I returned, Evie had about had it with busyness and was relaxing so I decided to nap even though it was 2:40, a good choice.

Afternoon Shadows And Blue |
We then took it easy until wine time at 5:30 and Evie made some guacamole to go with Fritos and we had a nice late afternoon snack. It was another perfect evening, the nicest in weeks, with cool weather, a quiet lake, and a neighborhood. All we needed was our kids. For dinner, we had a frittata and salad and watched the news, and some ER and home improvement shows.
Who do you prefer: "A person who expresses himself with slowness but kindness and care or a demented liar." That is the question.
