O What A Day!

Hallelujah!

With Grandparents

It's Sunday Morning and I am sitting in The Fontaine Hotel cafe at 7:15, enjoying a coffee and waiting for the rest of the family to come down for coffee.  I think I might have quite a wait.  It's now almost 9:00 as I finish this and six of us, all adults, are enjoying a coffee in the cafe.

Yesterday was a whirlwind of a day, a wonderful day, for Nick and Aundraya's wedding. As I mentioned, all of our side of the family was in town so we spent the day mostly together although we did go out for lunch at a barbecue place called Jack's Stack, one of many in the area. After our morning coffee, catching up and lunch at noon, we all were able to relax in our rooms until 4:00 when we Uber-ed over to La Villa, a couple of miles away.

Interestingly, photos of the bride and groom and their extended families were taken in the venue where they also were to get married.  The service took place at 5:00, the highlight being the vows from both Nick and Aundraya, bringing tears to many. Once the ceremony was over, we adjourned to an outdoor side patio for libations while the venue was changed into a dining area. Dinner was then served, buffet style, with beef and chicken as the main course, along with salad and potatoes.  All were plentiful and tasty.

By 7:00, the plates were cleared and the dancing began with a disc jockey, lasting until 9:30 when Nick ad and Aundraya had their last dance out on the patio and bid the group a thank you and adieu. Everyone headed home, our group via Uber and we ended up once again at the Fontaine's seventh-floor bar, enjoying another round of drinks and appetizers until 12:30 when we finally wore out and decided it was best to head back to our rooms and bed.
