UNDER OCCUPATION: ALAN FURST

Like most of Furst's novels, his most recent is set in occupied Paris, in 1942. The story follows the life of a detective novelist, Paul Ricard, who inadvertently gets involved in the Resistance.  He moves from one city to another, gathering information for the British, then ends up hiding various fugitives in safe houses, even following one of the escape routes from Paris to safety in Spain. It's not my favorite Furst novel but still worth reading.
