It's 8:40 as we sit here, looking out our window and all is gray. It's 40º and I have yet to kayak because of the fog. I am not getting out there until I can see if there are any duck hunters along the shoreline. It's 8:52 as I finish writing this and the fog is starting to lift so I will head for a paddle and finish the blog when I return. It's 10:15 as I finish this after paddling for 35 minutes.

Yesterday was typical, starting with a paddle in the rising fog, so I could see most of the time if I hugged the shore, unlike this morning. After a forty-five-minute paddle and no evidence of wildlife, I had breakfast and finished up the blog before driving off to yoga at 9:20. For some reason, Friday yoga is not very popular so once again, I was the only one in class with Grace. I was finished at 11:15 and made a quick stop at Ollie's, then Rite Aid before heading home.
While I was playing, Evie was washing down our kitchen cupboards. She took timeout to make me a cheese and tomato sandwich and I watched my series, Dark Winds. I am sticking with my book Nuclear War for another day until I find something else to download. Fact: once an ICBM missile(which would kill millions) is launched, say from North Korea, the President has six minutes to decide whether to retaliate. Can you imagine having to make that decision?
I briefly napped, and read some, while Evie was out mowing the sideyard on another classic autumn afternoon. At 4:00, I drove to a friend's house where the three of us sat around his front yard, enjoying a couple of libations, popcorn, pretzels, and assorted nuts. It was a pleasant afternoon and we do this once every month or two, missing, however, Joe who passed away almost a year ago. I was home by 6:00 and we had the leftover spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. We finished the film Sense And Sensibility, then watched Colbert, and then snippets of Trump's idiocies on CNN until it was time for bed.
