I woke up to an overcast morning at 6:45 but now, an hour later, there's some blue sky and the sun's about to pop up above the cloud cover hanging over Tom's Point. It's 25º and won't get much warmer, just into the low 30s. It's 7:45 and the sun just did rise above the clouds, filling the lake and our living room with its light. What a mood enhancer. I did go out on the lake for only 20 minutes because it was windy, and tough going when I paddled north.

Monday was a bit different because I had to go to the dentist for a teeth cleaning at 11:00. I did get in my kayaking, however, and had a leisurely morning before leaving for the dentist in Jamestown. Fortunately, I left with a clean slate, no cavities, and no need for a crown. Yippee. I was home by 12:30 and had some of Evie's soup for lunch, along with crackers and sardines. I watched more of the Vietnam doc and it just gets more and more depressing as Johnson is sending over 200,000 more troops to 'win the war,' which he knows cannot be won.
Our afternoon was one of leisure after the excitement of Super Bowl Sunday. Neither of us felt like a walk nor getting much done, however, we have been having trouble with our Sonos playing stations from Sirius Radio. So around 3:30, Evie gave them a call, and by 5:00, we still had trouble with the radio. That's an hour and a half on the phone with customer service which was great but still did not solve our problem. After the call, we both needed a glass of wine. By 6:00, Evie was roasting cauliflower, frying up some pork chops, and making hash browns and a salad, quite a dinner. Everything tasted good, especially the pork chops along with homemade applesauce, a must for Evie. We watched another episode of Criminal Record on Apple TV+, then some SNL and HGTV before bed.
