Another apocalyptical novel, this time set on Long Island. A couple and their children rent a summer house on Long Island. After a couple of days, the owners of the house knock on the door having fled NYC for reasons unclear, ask if they can stay. Unfortunately, cell phones and TV don't work. And so the story begins.
