Not Much Of A Morning Sky

Heron On A Bench

Ready For Take-Off
It's 8:10 and I start this blog but I have been up reading on my computer, listening to Morning Joe, bemoaning the fact that Trump is allowing the Turks to go after the Kurds in Syria, our reliable friends during the Iraq War and afterward.  It rained almost an inch last night, was drizzling when I woke at 6:00.  We are both sitting on the front porch and at the moment, it's a chilly 52º, thus Evie is wrapped in a blanket. Unfortunately, I have to wait another week to kayak or yoga because the stitches on my arm have to heal.

Brick Walk At The CI
Yesterday we didn't do much other than the usual.  We took our time in the morning, no rush, no fuss, after all, it was a Sunday, a day of rest.  About 10:30, we drove to the Chautauqua Institution and took a walk around the grounds, as the greenery is starting to change in all the front yards.  We walked a couple of miles, took under an hour and were home by noon.  Evie quickly fried up the bacon, then eggs, toasted a bagel and we had breakfast.  I began the process of downloading photos but once again, an error showed up so I am lost as to what I can do.  I guess call Apple support for the fifth or sixth time.

Trail At CI
After breakfast, I watched some football, read, too, a nap while Evie was off doing the shopping for the week at Wegman's, stopping at T J's as well, a mistake because it is crowded on weekends.  When she returned, we put things away, then did little the rest of the afternoon, just read or watched football till bored.

Enjoying Our Porch, Late Afternoon
We did relax about 5:30 with a Manhattan and some of the good cheese we brought back from Trader Joes, a triple cream brie, heavenly, soft and creamy.  Dinner was the chicken enchiladas that Evie pulled out of the freezer early in the day, so all she needed to do was heat them, cover them with salsa and cheese and sour cream and we had a tasty Mexican dinner.

Clouding Up At 6:34 PM
We watched a mediocre SNL, then some Maine Cabin Builders, eventually, when Evie went up to bed, some NFL, as the Chiefs unexpectedly lost to the Colts.
