Twenty Four Hours Of Spring

7:05

8:34
An uncomely morning to be nice, a melting front yard, wet areas on the white surface of the lake, and a heavy fog.  Spring for a day, with a high of 50º but tomorrow will be in the 20's.  The weather gods cannot make up their minds.

Yesterday was a blah day weatherwise, as neither of us were motivated to enjoy the outdoors.  So I went to Yin yoga at 9:30 and we are back to normal, just one other guy besides me.  A good class, as we worked on hips.  I never paid attention to my hips, never really felt them until I began yoga some five or six years ago.  Yoga makes us much more aware of various body parts, and we pay special attention to breathing, to its effects on the mind and inner organs.  Afterwards, I stopped for coffee and they even had a carton of eggs for me.  I was home by 11:45  to a busy kitchen as Evie was making lots of valentine cookies to send to our granddaughters, a task she enjoys and obviously they do too.  Lunch was a toasted cheese sandwich, soup, and another half of a Wallander episode.  Kurt actually seems to have a lover although it's just hinted at.

I had doctor's appoint at 2:15, my annual Wellness checkup, a freebie from Medicare which mostly involves filling out a ten page questionnaire, talking to a nurse, then to a doctor to go over the questionnaire.  It's not supposed to be a physical but our GP usually goes beyond just asking questions.  It seems pointless for the most part unless you are someone who never sees a doctor.  I stopped at Smith Library, returned a book and couldn't find anything I liked on the New Book Shelf so I went home empty handed.  I was home by 3:30 and Evie was now in the TV room, watching television and frosting the cookies she had baked early in the morning, a busy gal.

Ready To Mail To Our Granddaughters
Dinner was also mostly prepped by 5:00, chicken picata, so we relaxed with a glass of wine before dinner, listening to Julie Mason until 6:00.  Evie then sauteed the chicken breasts, with wine and capers, made rice, brussel sprouts and a salad and we had a good dinner, with enough left for a lunch.  We watched CBS Sunday morning, always good, then another outrageous Real Time with Bill Maher and ended with Vice News, which tends to see the world, not just the US.  And did you know Romania is having huge rallies to protest the corruption in their government?  We had never heard about this until we saw it on Vice News on HBO.  That just confirms how much Trump has Trumped any attempt by our news channels to cover the world.  Trump tweets are all.

In his own words: "The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!"
