It's 8:20 and we have both been up for an hour, watching the sun slowly rise above the clouds and then hide behind them. It's a chilly 17º and will get into the 20s later in the day. One ice fisherman is out on a frozen, icy lake. 

Yesterday was school for Evie so she was up early, showered, and off to kindergarten by 9:30. I was up as well but was in no hurry to begin my day. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but decided on a drive to Lakewood, stop for coffee, then drove to Walmart. Online, Walmart said they have kiosks for turning in prescription drugs that are out of date.  Of course, our Walmart doesn't have a kiosk. After Walmart,  I decided to walk Dobbins Woods, on the way home. It's a forty-five minute hike, circular, over crusty snow, and lots of boardwalks, making it even more treacherous. I took my time, used my hiking poles, and was happy to finish.

When I returned home, I heated up the last of the lentil soup for lunch, along with a half of a chicken salad hoagie. I read then napped until Evie came home around 3:00. I was worried about her because the entire parking area and the road were icy. I slipped twice going out to shop in the morning. So I helped her in with the groceries from Wegmans and poured more ice melt on our walk. We relaxed until 5:00 when Evie had her Zoom call with her sisters. Earlier, I had grilled some onions because we were having hamburgers for dinner. Evie fried them up and we had them with pickles, onions and mayo and ketchup. We watched a Japanese series called Asura, about four sisters living in Tokyo and their parents. We cannot make up our mind if we like it or not but assume we will stick with it. We then watched the various musical acts from the Emmys, skipping through those we did not like. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars were the best, singing California Dreamin. When Evie went up to bed at 9:00, and I watched my series and some of the Cavs' loss to the Celtics.
