Ice Storm

It's 8:15 and I have been up for an hour and a half. I was up to see if we were having breakfast. Unfortunately, my car is an ice cube and the roads were icy so we had to cancel. Evie also decided to stay home from school and go tomorrow when the roads are safer. It's 8:50 as I finish this and starting to sleet or drizzle as the temperature rises to 32º.

Wednesday was another gray, cold day, with not much happening. I decided, however, to go to yoga, a more rigorous class. It began at 10:00 with the usual suspects and I enjoyed class and left feeling good. It made my day. I stopped at Sav A Lot on the way home to pick up a few necessities and dropped some expired prescription drugs off at the police station in Lakewood. 

Evie made me a great lunch, a couple of bagels with avocados, and tomatoes, topped with an egg. Once my lunch was ready, Evie left to get her hair trimmed and do some shopping and I watched my show and enjoyed my delicious lunch. I read some, then napped of course, and wondered if I should try to get in a hike because of the blue skies but was too lazy. I did, however, pick up all the deadfall in our front yard, the result of the heavy winds the past couple of days. While Evie was out, I was worried about the ice in our neighborhood and road but she was careful and made it home safely. 

Wednesday Afternoon Blue

We spent our usual afternoon, thinking about what to have for dinner. Evie wanted a stir fry and prepped most veggies and tofu before dinner. We had our wine, listened to the bad news, and around 6:00, began our stir fry. Once the tofu was seared, with the veggies and sauce, returned the tofu and we had dinner over rice. We watched episodes from two emergency room series, Doc on Hulu, and The Pitt on Apple TV. It's either a cop series or a doctor series. We ended the night with CNN and couldn't help but laugh through our tears at Trump's ridiculous nominees to head various government agencies. It seemed more like an SNL skit than reality, with the worst possible candidates nominated for each position.
