Morning Drizzle

7:37

9:07

9:07

It's early because I have breakfast at 8:00 weather permitting. It's 37º out so breakfast in Bemus Point is on. The lake is beginning to show wet spots and I am sure hiking anywhere will be messy. It's 9:10 and I just returned from breakfast. Evie is up showering, feeling better so she is going to school. The kids have one more day and then a week of vacation.

Wednesday was a better day for me, not for Evie who continues to fight a cold and a cough. I was up at 7:15, happy to have a couple of hours before I had to leave for yoga. Evie came down at 8:15 and we had good hour together, watching the birds on another gray morning.  After the blog and breakfast, I left for yoga at 9:35. Our class was at 10:00 and three of us have been at all classes this week, and have been regulars for the past year or two. The class was rigorous, so much so that I had to take it easy a couple of times. I am not in the best of shape and could feel my arms shaking when holding a downward-facing dog or plank for any extended time. I was glad when yoga was over and I could head home, stopping only for gas, $3:39 a gallon which is actually cheap for New York.

When I returned home, Evie was feeling a little better but still had an annoying cough. She made me a couple of tuna sandwiches to go with another bowl of black bean soup. After lunch, I went on the computer for a few minutes, then read and took a nap, of course.  I woke at 2:00 and wasted another hour or two but by 4:00, I was on my way in the sleet to walk the CI, stopping at the Lighthouse to pick up a cookies for Evie and some peameal bacon. I took my usual walk, to Bestor Plaza and back and it was decent out, only uncomfortable when walking into the wind. I was out for 40 minutes, walking two miles in snow or slush.

When I returned at 5:00, Evie was putting together cheesy cauliflower and then we were able to relax with a glass of wine before finishing prepping dinner. We had packaged ribs from Walmart, decent, along with a s salad and cauliflower. We watched a couple of episodes of two series, both Doc and Paradise on Hulu. Once they were over, Evie was tired and went up to bed and I watched some college games and part of an NBA game before returning to my go-to when I am bored, Person Of Interest.
