Sunday was cool and sunny, a perfect day for a walk at the CI. So, after a pleasant morning, no hurry, we drove off to the CI at 11:00 and walked for just about an hour. And, surprise, we actually met a couple other people as we walked which is rare. It was windy and cold along the lakefront, much warmer and pleasant as we walked among the crowded houses. Only one or two new homes going up, a few others being renovated. It felt good to be back in our Sunday routine, especially when we returned home and Evie quickly made our breakfast of fried eggs, bacon and toast, the best. We watched CBS Sunday Morning, a very emotional interview with some of the teachers from Newtown, then an interview with Cat Stevens, much more entertaining. It's a great way to spend an hour on Sunday mornings.

Around 5:30, we relaxed with a glass of wine, as the pork chops, which Evie breaded and fried earlier, baked in the oven. For dinner, then, we had pork chops, one each, two leftover for tomorrow night, along with home fries, salad. brussels sprouts courtesy of Linda's garden and a must for Evie, apple sauce. We watched a movie which I found not only interesting but enjoyable called RUSH. It's a fairly accurate depiction of the rivalry in the 1970's between James Hunt and Nikki Lauda, the most famous Formula One drivers. Evie was not too taken with it because of the various racing scenes but I found it fun to watch. It was directed by Ron Howard, a different kind of film for him to make. We then watched Homeland, which continues to surprise us, with its violence, lots of Americans getting killed, and it's willingness to show both sides, why the Americans are in Pakistan, why many Pakistani's hate us for being there. We were in bed by 11:00, reading before going to sleep.
