Painting Friday/Saturday/Sunday?

Sunrise
Evie's already off to Sherwin Williams to pick up the paint for our downstairs; they have a 40% off sale today through Sunday on everything, so it's a good deal.  I just hope we will only need one coat; the color is just a bit richer, perhaps a bit more yellow than what we have so it should work.  As you can see above, it was a spectacular sunrise though it's now turned gray though no rain for a couple of days, I hope.
At the Lakeview in Mayville

We watched the German film MOSTLY MARTHA last night, a great film.  The film focuses on Martha, the uptight, solitary chef of a high class restaurant in Germany.  Her life revolves the restaurant, with little else.  This changes when her sister dies in a car crash and Martha's responsible for her niece, Lina. How she deals with this change and the new sous chef Mario at her restaurant form the center of the film.  Wonderfully acted, moving, just the kind of movie we love.  This is the second time we have seen it.

Well, I am sitting here with a glass of wine, after a day of painting ceilings.  What at first seemed simple turned out to be more time consuming, as the ceiling needed two not one coat as the paint indicated.  One coat should cover!  Well, it didn't so I have been off buying more paint and it's only the first day.  The dining room and kitchen and entrance ceilings are done.  Tomorrow, we will paint the walls in the dining room, and if we have time, start on the ceiling in the living room.  What I assume would take three days will now take five, I predict.  Why isn't anything easier not harder than it seems.  At least its been a messy gray day, no sun, just gray skies, an occasional misty rain, a good day to paint, if there is such a thing.
