Euclid to Kansas City

Dinner at Linda's

Two Extremely Cool Dudes

We are in the airport, waiting for our plane, after being dropped off by Linda.  It looks like a decent day to fly, a bit cloudy but no great winds so far.  We had a great stay at Linda and Rich's, a perfect way for us to fly and get to see them.  Linda made Ina Garten's brisket last night for dinner, a bit like a pot roast, with lots of good vegetables, with mashed potatoes of course, and it was really good, exceptional gravy as you thickened it after cooking the meat.  We had to watch American Idol for Evie, then The Office, and since we were all pretty tired, we headed off to bed.  It was amazing that when we got there, around 5:00, the sun had come out and it was a beautiful day for once, so different from the rain and clouds we have all been having.  Rich was off to tennis at 6:30 and Linda dropped us off at the airport, about 25 minute ride with little traffic, which was nice.

After a bumpy plane ride, we are now in Lee's Summit, enjoying the day despite the rain outside.  Nick just destroyed me at the ping pong table, much to my dismay.  I think I am going to have to practice quite a bit before I can stand of chance of beating him.  Tommy got home early from work and Jeannie is coming over around 5:00, to go out to dinner with us at Spin Pizza, the kids favorite pizza place.  Evie and Marlena are making up poems with a kit they we brought along to give her, made up of magnetic words.
