SNOW, AGAIN!

7:26

Back Yard

It's 8:30 and I have been up since 7:15, enjoying a couple of cups of coffee, watching the waves roll in, and birds eating at the feeder. Snow was predicted but it still surprised me this morning when I woke. It's 31º and may stay in the 30s the rest of the day. Needless to say, I will not be paddling this morning.

Tuesday was a typical day for me. I was up early and got in a good but short paddle, down to Sandy Bottom and back and was rewarded with a great photo of a juvenile bald eagle. When I got home, I grabbed my blanket and bolster. I am the only one who brings my own, and I started during Covid, and I just continued. For some reason, I really enjoyed Tuesday's class. Maybe because Danielle was teaching it, but I just needed something rigorous and challenging.

Yoga Blanket And Bolster

I was tempted to stop for coffee on the way home, but didn't. When I walked into the kitchen, Evie had Thai chicken in the slow cooker, a recipe I found on Facebook. Just as I was sitting down to a lunch of soup and tomato and cream cheese sandwiches, I got a text from my eye doctor, telling me my new glasses were ready to be picked up. I wasn't sure if I wanted to head down to Jamestown to pick them up but I only took a short nap, so off I went to Jamestown again, waited five minutes, then picked up my new glasses. They are different from my usual frames, and I don't know if I like them. I will get used to them. Since I was in Jamestown,  I stopped and browsed at both Brigiotti's Grocery and Runnings but bought nothing. Finally, I stopped at Evans and bought a couple of boxes of wine, then headed home.

At home, I read until Evie had a Zoom call with her sisters and I watched my show in the TV room. After the phone call, we had our wine time until dinner. At 6:30, Evie served the Thai chicken over rice and unfortunately, I did not like it much. Evie seemed to enjoy it but a second helping also turned her off. Bummer. We watched a couple of episodes of The Resident, a medical soap opera, with a few interesting episodes. When we have nothing else to watch, we turn to it. When Evie went to bed, I watched my new show, Gracepoint, and am really into it.
