It's not been a great start to the week with this morning's weather, so I won't be kayaking despite the 50º temperature. I have been up since 7:15 and Evie just came down for coffee at 8:30, having slept in some.

Webb's Trail |
Yesterday was good day, Easter Sunday. I celebrated with a forty-five-minute paddle despite the wind. It just felt good to be out there on the lake, with the sun and blue skies. After my kayaking, we finished the blog and I wanted to get in some exercise so I mounted my bike on the Outback and drove to Mayville Park. Just as I was getting out my car, my neighbors got out of their car with their dog and were taking him for a walk in Mayville. I decided to try Webb's Trail; fortunately, it was dry enough to enjoy a ride. I then rode down to Sea Lion Drive, took it to its end and then returned to my car. I was out for maybe 50 minutes. I drove home feeling good that I was able to get in some physical exercise.

Meanwhile, Evie was going over the Shutterfly book for the nth time, making sure it was just right. I went over it with her as well and its just about ready to be sent off, Lunch was a couple of fried eggs and a bagel and I watched a quarter of the NBA playoffs before going back to my book and napping. The rest of the afternoon went quickly and by 5:30, we were both showered and gussied up for our Easter dinner at Linda and Ron's. It's always fun to get together with them and Linda's a great cook.

Easter Sunday Dinner |
We had shrimp in Bay Seasoning for an appetizer as we enjoyed a nice Sauvignon Blanc, our favorite. Dinner was individual beef tenderloins with a creamy mushroom sauce. Sides were a sliced potato casserole, tasty roasted carrots and a salad, an amazing Easter Sunday feast. We loved it. Dessert was a delicious strawberry and cream cake, reminding us both of an Italian cassata cake which Evie used have on her birthday growing up. We left around 9:30, with leftovers, enough for our dinner tonight as well as dessert. Yum. Another good day.
