Some Sun, Mostly Clouds

It's 7:35, and I just returned from a half-hour on the lake. It was bright sun when I started and cloudy when I returned. I will be off for breakfast in Bemus in ten minutes, so it's a busy morning. It's 9:25 as I finish this, having just returned from breakfast with the guys. Because the sun has just popped out, I am going to skip yoga and ride my bike around Bemus and Long Point before the rain and wind in the afternoon.

The heavy winds and waves made Wednesday typical except for a short paddle on the lake. I then finished the blog, forgot to eat breakfast and was on my way to yoga at 9:40. Class was rigorous as usual, and I left just as sore as when I arrived. Evie made a short list for Wegmans and I was able to get everything but coffee, a hoarding must have started. 

I was home by 12:30 and Evie had a pot of cauliflower and sweet potato soup simmering on the stove and offered to make me a couple of hot dogs for lunch. I was a happy boy, soup and hot dogs and a series I am enjoying. Evie left around 2:00 to return some things at TJ's, then to Jared's for a haircut. I napped and read until she returned home around 4:00. I then felt like doing something, so I went out and did more yard work, digging out weeds and cleaning the borders of our yards. 

I was done around 5:00, showered and was ready for our drive to the Viking at 6:00. Our neighbors, Barb and Jim drove, and each week, the club seems more crowded with the hopeful as the pot is now over six thousand dollars. We found a table in the back of the barroom, ordered beers, then either wings or salads for dinner. Once again, no one won the Queen Of Hearts but there's always next Wednesday.

We were home by 8:30 and Evie went up to bed, knowing she would have to get up early for kindergarten on Thursday morning. I watched some basketball, an episode of Joe Pickett, then was happy to get back to my Phillip Marlowe novel, set in Mexico.
