It's 8:20 and I made the mistake of going out for a paddle around 7:15 when the fog was at its height. I couldn't see beyond the docks so I paddled back and forth keeping the docks in sight. I chased away an eagle and took a few shots of a merganser sitting on a dock. Now, however, the fog has lifted and I should have waited till now to go for a paddle. It's gorgeous out there right now.

Sunday was a bit different from the usual because neither of us wanted to go for a walk in the morning. I did get in a paddle, and then we had a long morning coffee, listening to the news. Saturday, I found an 'easy and quick' recipe for scones. So we made a deal, Evie would make the scones and I would clean the bookcase. It took her about ten minutes, me over an hour to take all the books off the shelves, dust them, then put them back. We also filled an Ikea bag with books we don't want and will donate them to our local library. 

Once the scones were formed, they had to sit for a half hour in the refrigerator so we didn't have them until 1:00, along with a breakfast of scrambled eggs. I didn't like them much and had four. Yep, four, and watched my show. I waddled up to nap, read some, and napped for a half hour.  I forgot to mention we spent a good part of our morning and afternoon browsing the photo albums Evie has made over the years, starting around 2011. It's amazing to watch our grandchildren grow, from infants to college graduates and most of them have spent at least a week at the lake every year of their lives.

Docks Are In

Around 4:30, I took a half-hour walk around our woods, where some of the trail was filled with blue flowers. Spring is back. Around 5:00, we had our glass of wine, listened to the news, and then had an easy dinner of leftover pasta and eggplant. We watched an episode of Hacks and some news and enjoyed a brownie before Evie went up to bed. I watched the Cavs lose and part of the Warriors win over the Rockets.
