9:15 |
It's 7:30 and I have breakfast in Asheville in half hour. Both Evie and I are up, enjoying our coffee and have a busy morning. It's 9:15 and I just returned from breakfast at the Asheville Country Store, a good way to start my day. After I finish this, I am going out for a paddle, although it seems to be drizzling. Well, I got out there but it was choppy, windy, and drizzling so I paddled back home, out for twenty minutes.

Kayak Morning |
Yesterday began with a great hour paddle, and photos of a couple of birds. It was also a beautiful day, filled with sun and warmth. After my paddle and the blog, I drove to Lakewood for a rigorous yoga class. I left class feeling it, wondering if it helps my soreness or makes it worse. I dropped drugs we didn't want off at the police station, gave our local bookstore a couple of books we thought he might like to sell, and our local library refused a bag of books we were discarding. They seem to have too many I guess.
When I returned home, I relaxed for a half hour before having lunch—a half-sub sandwich from the Lighthouse—and watching my show. After lunch, Evie got busy in the yard mowing, and I read some and napped, then went outside and did some yard work, like edging and weeding, that sort of thing. It was a perfect afternoon to get work done outside.
We skipped our wine time and instead, got ready to go to the Viking with four of hour neighbors for dinner and the King Of Hearts drawing. It was packed because the drawing was up to six thousand dollars. The line for beers was ten deep as was the line for ordering dinners. We were lucky to find a table for six and eventually had our beers and dinners. Around 7:00, they had the drawing and they had a winner although he was not there, a downer. We had a good time, however, and stayed until 8:30, among the last to leave.
Evie went straight up to bed because she was getting up early this morning for school. I watched some basketball but was also tired and went to bed earlier than usual.
