It's 7:30 and I have been up close to an hour, watching the sky gradually lighten, and turn various colors of pink and rose. As I wait for the sun to rise, it's 31º and will get up into the 50s later in the day. It's 9:20 now and I just returned from breakfast in Bemus and Evie's about ready to head to school.
I usually go to yoga on Wednesday but decided to skip it and rest my back. So I was in no hurry to get going and neither was Evie because she did not have school. Of course, by 10:30 I was ready to do something so I put my bike rack on the car, strapped on my bike, and drove to Mayville Park. The parking lot had quite a few cars, probably ice fishermen. I decided to try Webbs Trail but quickly turned around because it was still snow covered and icy. So I rode the Mayville trail to Sea Lion Drive, took that to the end, and rode down Elmwood to the lake before returning back to the park and my car. I was out for close to an hour and passed one biker, but no hikers despite the blue skies. It felt good to get in a ride even though it was cold out, especially when biking into the wind.

When I returned, Evie was busy organizing for our trip for over the weekend. I had the last of the veggie soup for lunch and Evie made me a sandwich with the leftover burger. I watched my show, then read and napped and Evie watched The Crown and got a few things done. We both showered around 5:00 and picked up our neighbors, Jim and Barb, and drove over to the Viking Club for dinner at 6:15.

It was busier than usual although we easily ordered beers and dinners. Instead of wings, I got a Buffalo chicken wrap and Evie a salad with grilled chicken and poppy seed dressing. We sat next to one of Evie's kindergardener's family and he, of course, gave Evie a big smile and hug. We left around 8:15, happy with our evening, and drove home in moonligt. Evie was tired and knew she had school today so she went to bed and I watched all of the Boston/Oklahoma City game. That was enough for me and I went up to bed.
