It's 7:42 and Evie and I are both up, listening to Morning Joe, feeling bad. We have not even been outside to try to clear our walk or drive. We got maybe 8 inches overnight, with more to come the next few days. It's a winter wonderland, and we cannot enjoy it.

Yesterday was my time to head to the doctor because of my cough, chills, just feeling terrible. So neither one of us did much all day except wait till 1:00 for my appointment. Unlike Evie, the doc is pretty sure I don't have pneumonia but my cough is really annoying and constant. He prescribed an inhaler, some pills to stop the coughing and an antacid in case it's also acid reflux. When I went to get the inhaler it was going to cost me over three hundred dollars for a reason I still do not fully understand. I passed on it, went home, wrote an email to the PA and he said stop back and he would give me some samples. So I drove back to Mayville in a heavy snowfall, sat in the office for 20 minutes until I got the samples and went home, ready to just lie on the couch.

Evie seems to be getting better but still has a cough. Our dinner was soup and leftover chicken although neither of us was very hungry. We watched Designated Survivor and Rectify, a Vice news before going to bed early. I was worried about sleeping because of my constant hacking but I did pretty well although Evie had a restless night.
This is the first time I have been ill in a long time and I forgot what it was like. Hopefully, both of us will be back on our feet in a couple of days so we can enjoy the snow, shovel us out of our abode.
