Yesterday was a long day because neither of us had much we had to do. It was too cold to be outside for long so I didn't go for a hike. We stretched out our coffee and both woke later than usual, filling much of the morning. Around 10:30, I got out my yoga mat, turned on yoga music, and practiced for a half hour. While I was practicing, Evie made a nice pot of Turkish lentil soup for lunch.
I made my lunch at 10:30, a couple of slices of 11grain bread, toasted, with peanut butter and jelly and the last of Evie's veggie soup from last week. I watched another episode of Person Of Interest and it was decent so I will stick with it. I skipped a nap and read until 1:30 when I drove to Lakewood. I stopped at Walmart to pick up tortillas for tomorrow's dinner and a few other things. At 2:20, I was having a full body exam at my dermatologist's office. All is well and I don't go back for another six months.
I was home by 3:30 and relaxed, enjoying watching the birds at the feeder and reading until it was wine time with Evie. We listened to the news, alas, mostly about Trump of course but also the new wild fire in California. How terrible. Dinner was the mushroom and turkey meatball pasta from Monday along with a great salad. We watched a much-recommended film called A Real Pain. Even though it starred Kieran Culkin who played someone even more obnoxious than his role as Roman Roy in Succession. The film was written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg, who plays Culkin's cousin. The movie is about two cousins who travel to Poland to honor their Jewish grandmother where they explore their family's history and legacy. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a Golden Tomato for the Best Drama Movie of 2024. Just watch it on Hulu. We watched some HGTV then and went to bed,
