Morning Drizzle

It's a gray, wet morning here on the lake, without a boat in sight. It's 39º and some snow is expected tonight according to Accurate Weather which ain't that accurate. It does not look like I will be on the lake this morning unless I don't mind a paddle in the rain. The ducks seem to like it and the flag is not moving so I am tempted but it's no longer just a drizzle but rain. 

Yesterday, a Friday by the way, turned out better than expected when I woke.  I was able to paddle for an hour and have a relaxing morning.  We decided we wanted to walk somewhere so Evie suggested walking Lakeview Cemetery because we could then return some packages on the way home and stop at TJ to do a quick run-through.  I was happy with that idea so we walked in the leafless cemetery for an hour, always an interesting place to walk.

We were fortunate to have some blue skies and we also walked around the .eighborhood just off Lakeside Avenue, on Clyde and Severn Park Way, admiring the homes,  Severn had four mansions, all built in the 1920s, probably the grandest homes in Jamestown. That part of Jamestown is one of the oldest yet the nicest neighborhoods.

We then drove to TJ's and attempted to drop off packages at Michaels but our printer has been acting up and they could not read the addresses. We were fed up by then and decided to screw health and went to Arby's for roast beef sandwiches and fries, our lunch. 

We were home by 12:30, happy about our walk, depressed by our inability to mail the packages. It looks like we might need a new printer because we can't get it to print clearly. The rest of the afternoon went quickly as usual.  The lake was surprisingly busy with both bass boats and ducks floating by our house. We had a pleasant happy hour at 5:30, enjoying a couple of good cheeses and listening to oldies from the 30s and 40s, reminding both of us of my parents. Dinner was the leftover chicken with mushrooms and artichoke hearts and we watched our usual, Colbert, Jeopardy, and a home improvement show.
