It's another morning of white as we received maybe an inch or two of snow overnight, enough to turn the lawn and lake white. There's a winter weather advisory in effect which means it might snow in the next 24 hours.  Wow.

Yesterday was a pretty good Saturday all things considered.  We were not expecting much out of the day, thinking we would have to just marshall through it. We had our coffee, wrote the blog, and then gathered the trash for the taking to the Transfer Station. When I returned, we both decided we needed to get in a hike, hoping to get our mojo back.  We drove over to Long Point and walked for over an hour, through the woods, out to Long Point, and back to our car.  The sun came out briefly,  the wind died down and the temperature was perfect so it made our day. We returned home happy and feeling much better about ourselves. 

We had no plans for the afternoon, just to enjoy our leisure, with some TV or books.  Lunch was spicy ramen and toasted cheese sandwiches, always a good combination. And I watched a series called Samurai Gourmet on Netflix about an attempt to find a gourmet ramen.  The afternoon went quickly, as I read, napped, and watched some football with Evie.  We were looking forward to wine time because it was supposed to snow briefly.  Evie made guacamole to go along with our wine and as we sat down as if on queue, it started to snow.  Evie took numerous photos.  We listened to old tunes, trying to find some of the songs our Turkish friends introduced us to in Istanbul, those by Peppino de Capri, Orson Wells, and Paolo Conte. We could only find Conte's "It's Wonderful' and Welles "I Know What It Is To Be Young", but it was fun to search Apple Music even finding Turkish alternative music.  

Let It Snow

We had our dinner of leftover moussaka and timed it so we were finished eating before the Buffalo Bills game with Baltimore.  The area we live in loves the Bills so there are Bills signs all over the place as well as specials from our restaurants, usually pizza and wings. Evie did not make it to the end but I did as Buffalo surprised the Ravens 17-3, in a defensive struggle.
