Up around 6:15, checked outside and I was surprised to see so much snow. Time to get the shovel out before I head off to yoga at 9:00. And it's colder than I expected. Little chance of snow the rest of the day though it looks threatening at the moment, as the sky begins to turn from black to gray.
Because of the weather yesterday, wet snow, slush, icy roads, we did not do much other than enjoy our nice warm house, watch some TV, and sit around and read or play Words With Friends on Evie's IPAD. I did drive to Smith Library, to check out a couple of videos, return some books, and pick up HOUSE OF CARDS, the English novel by Michael Hobbs, the book the Netflix series House of Cards is based on. We will have to see how similar they are. I seemed to be the only person in the library other than Deborah, the librarian, and the Head Librarian, Liz, I think her name is.

We were smart enough to get dinner ready early morning, putting together a chicken and sweet potato curry in the Slow Cooker, so all we had to do for dinner was make some jasmine rice and a salad for dinner. The curry was tasty, chicken moist and tender, sweet potatoes firm, the sauce rich with coconut milk. There is enough for another meal, too, a bonus if you make enough for four or five.
We ran out of TV series to watch, so we went to Showtime and watched the Iron Lady, a film about Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of Great Britain, played marvelously by Meryl Streep. I cannot think of another actor or actress who is so versatile, who becomes the character, from Thatcher to Julia Child, The film was interesting but I would have liked it more if it had not spent so much time in the last year of her life, when she was suffering from Alzheimer's, with flash backs to the major successes in her life. I would like to have seen more about her rise, rather than her sad demise.
