Up about 6:50, 30º, and it's obvious that the sun is rising earlier, the days are getting longer because when I rise, it's no longer dark outside.  I fear Daylight Savings Time, which must lurk around the corner.  In fact, one of my yoga friends asked if it was this coming weekend.  It scared me to think it might be so I  am going to google it.  O, my god, it is this Sunday!  Spring ahead, Fall behind!  Evie used to hate this weekend because it meant we had one less hour for our weekend at the lake.  Now, since we live here, it matters not.

The past two mornings, we have had Klinginsgmith's plumber over.  Our upstairs bedroom, one of the four heating zones, was too hot and the thermostat did not seem to be working.  It took two days to figure out a valve was not working, allowing the hot water to escape even if the thermostat was off.  This is the same area we had problems with in the fall. Always something.  Later in the morning, we both worked out because it was not very inviting outside, warming up some, sloppy out, the trails no doubt muddy.  This yoga group with Elise seems to be the most congenial gathering, none are overly serious, just enjoy a good morning class.  I talked with the only other guy, Loren Mayshark.  He often comes to class with his Mom.  He's working on his MA in history, seemed interested in my teaching experiences, so we had a nice chat before class.  I also have become friends Liz, a gal who works at the CI in summers, also trimming vine yards in the winter, and with our teacher, Elise's mom, Janis.  Her sister, Joyce, owns Ryder's Cup, her daughter works there as well.  It's fun to get to know people outside of Woodlawn, learn about their lives, how they make a living.  Evie picked me up after class, was waiting for me at Ryder's Cup, talking with Donna Nelson, who works at the bookstore.

In the afternoon, we( Evie mostly) tackled our attic, always in need of organization because it's where we store winter and summer clothes, chairs, all things seasonal and it easily gets disorganized.  We made a dent in it, hoping to finish it today after yoga and workout.  We had a nice, relaxing cocktail hour, watching the sky darken, me back to a class of white wine, Evie a Labatts 52, one of our favorite times of the day.  Like my parents, who always had a cocktail hour, we enjoy this hiatus between afternoon chores, prepping dinner, and finishing off dinner.  Evie made a great, healthy dinner, sort of.  First, she sauteed spinach, adding a couple dollops of cream.  She then cracked three egss, put them in pouches made in the spinach, and baked the casserole for about ten minutes.  She also made home fries from left over baked potatoes, and we had a great dinner, eggs on spinach, home fries, and a bagel.  Simple and tasty.  I am reading a book by Brad Meltzer that is becoming more and more ridiculous, but I marshall on.  We also watched an episode of Smash, some of Idol, before going to bed.
