It's 8:20 and I paddle for just about an hour, as the sun peeks in and out of the clouds. I kayaked down to Bootey Bay and back and was rewarded with photos of an eagle, and a heron surrounded by turkey vultures.

Heron In Front Of a Turkey Vulture |
Yesterday was a good way to start the week, with a paddle and bike ride. First, I was almost cold as I went out to get my kayak and go for a paddle. What a difference from the previous week. The day reminded both of us of a fall day, with a pristine blue sky. I was out for close to an hour, came home and finished the blog and had my breakfast of coconut milk yogurt with peaches, yum. Evie wanted me to mail a package for her so I volunteered to do it on my way for a bike ride in Long Point State Park. So around 11:00, I dropped off the package in Stow, drove to Bemus, and parked my car just by the bridge and rode for close to an hour, through Bemus to the park, around the park, and back to Bemus.

Trail Of Long Point |
It was a lovely day for a ride, cool to begin with, before I warmed up wth an uphill. I met a couple of E-Bikes, as they flew past me a couple of times and waved. I was surprised to get home so late, around 12:30, and Evie quickly made me tuna melts for lunch because I had an appointment at the Kia dealer for an oil change and tire rotation.
I left for Jamestown around 1:40, dropped my car off and walked next door to Tops and did some shopping for 15 minutes before returning to the dealer. It was done by 2:00 when I headed home but stopped at Peterson's Farm for corn and peaches. We go through a basket of peaches easily in a week. I was home around 2:30 and Evie was relaxing in the side yard, enjoying her book and the sun. It was a day of rest for her after her ordeal over the weekend and lack of sleep.
We had our wine time, with appetizers, pita chips, and hummus, and luxuriated in the late afternoon sky and temperature. And we had no worry about dinner because we had enough of the KFC chicken leftover for dinner. All Evie needed to do was heat the chicken up in the air fryer, pull the cole slaw out of the fridge, warm up the rolls and microwave the corn. We watched three more episodes of The Resident and we have to finish the series by September 3rd, when it's leaving Netflix. Evie went to bed around 8:45 and I watched another episode of Fauda before going up to read and sleep.
