A quiet, overcast Monday morning, with light winds. It's 59º and won't get much higher as this week will be cooler, more spring-like than last week's temperature in the high 70s and 80s. It's fine with us. Rain is forecast in the next hour so I better get out there for a paddle. It's just 8:00 as I finish writing this, I paddled for 35 minutes and the weather changed as I got out there and it was choppy and windy as I headed back to our yard. Evie's still asleep, lucky gal as the sky darkens, thunder rolls in the distance, and we supposedly will get rain, Yippe, it's raining!

Getting Choppy |
Sunday was another stellar day, warm and sunny, perfect for another boat ride. So after my paddle down to Whitney Bay and back, we decided around 10:00 to go for a boat ride which sounded better than a walk around the Chautauqua Institution our usual Sunday routine. So we cruised down to the Chautauqua Institution instead, first on the east side of the lake, then across to the CI and west side and home. Like Saturday, we were literally the only boat on the lake, other than the occasional fishing boat. Again, it was a glorious morning of sun, blue skies, and puffy clouds,

Lake Life |
We were home by noon, hungry so Evie made us a couple of avocado toasts with egg and we sat on the front porch enjoying the beginning of the afternoon. The rest of the day was one of relaxation for me, reading, napping, and watching the Celtics/Bucks game. Evie, however, was busy, sitting the side yard and putting together more photos for her next Shutterfly book. Around 4:30, I took time out from watching the game and Evie gave me a quick trim in the side yard. We both then showered because we were going to Linda and Ron's for a Sunday night dinner.

What A Cute Couple |
It was a pleasant evening, so we sat on their porch, enjoying a glass of wine and appetizers, as we caught up on what had been going on in our lives over the past couple of weeks. We had a wedding and Linda, had a weekend reunion with her sisters in Pittsburgh. Dinner was delicious as always, a parmesan chicken dish over rice and a salad. It was so tasty we wanted the recipe. We had dessert, bananas foster, and watched Stanley Tucci's Italy. By the time the show was over, we were tired and headed home just after 10:00. What a great evening and meal.
