Leisurely Saturday Morning in Darien

Getting Breakfast Ready 

I got up a bit later than usual, at 7:25, the first one downstairs, but soon Marisa, Rami and Evie followed.  We are sitting here watching Animal Planet with Marisa, waiting for the rest of the crew to rise, though I doubt if Tyler makes it until 10:00 or later as this is his one day to sleep in.

Yesterday, we shopped in the morning, REI, TJ's, Best Buy, getting a few more things returned and some Xmas presents.  Stopped for lunch with Beth and Evie for sushi at their local Sushi Bar.  It was excellent, two rolls, soup and salad for 9 dollars, and it was pretty crowded for lunch in Darien.

Walking Cody with Marisa a Month ago

We walked to pick Marisa up at school about 3:00.  Mitch had a bunch of long board buddies over for the afternoon; I took Marisa to Hip Hop at 5:00, stopped in the local library to pick up some videos to watch with the kids.  Evie made Philly cheese steaks for dinner with last nights left over strip steaks.  The boys loved it. We then baby sat as Beth and Rami went out to dinner with friends; we watched Winter's Bone, one of our favorite recent films, set in the boon docks of rural Missouri.  It was a bit slow for them, as Mitch left to go to bed half through though Tyler hung in there.  We better pick out something more energetic for tonight.

Beth and Rami are going to spend the day shopping for Xmas, so we will stay home with the kids.  Evie and Marisa are going to decorate cookies; Tyler has an SAT tutor coming in the afternoon, and Mitch has pottery class at 11:00, another busy Saturday for all.
