We are both up early, Evie because of school and me because I just woke up at 7:15. It's 37º, may rain later with a high of 44º. I guess we better enjoy it because tomorrow afternoon is another winter storm watch "with accumulations in some areas of a foot."

Monday was a day I dreaded because I was getting a wisdom tooth pulled. The day started as usual: getting up after 8:00, having my coffee, writing my blog, and having breakfast. The only difference was that I skipped my Eliquis, a blood thinner I take. My appointment was at 10:40, but I waited for a good 20 minutes in the waiting room and another half hour before the procedure. Since my tooth did not hurt, I wondered why I was having it removed so they checked with my dentist and had her send x-rays to make sure it was needed. The procedure went smoothly, with hardly any pain, just a cracking noise as he pulled it out. They put gauze on my wound, then gave me a printout with instructions for the day. I drove home, took out the gauze after a half hour and it's been fine since then, no pain, no bleeding.

By 1:30, I was enjoying Evie's cauliflower soup and watching my show, happy to be home. Despite getting up late, I was tired so I took a nap and woke refreshed. I kept ice on my cheek on and off during the afternoon to keep the swelling down and it worked. I forgot to mention I intended to drive the Outback to the dentist but the battery went dead overnight so I am going to the garage this morning and getting a new battery and hope that's the problem.

Once again we marveled at the waterfowl, floating in our front yard as we listened to the news during happy hour. For dinner, Evie made potato pancakes from the leftover mashed potatoes and a couple of fried eggs and I was happy. Once again we binge-watched four episodes of House Of Cards and didn't finish until 9:40. We have two seasons to go, 73 total episodes. I watched about five minutes of the NFL game before going up to read and sleep. I started a new book and I think I will stick with it called Then She Was Gone.
