Overcast But Warming Up

Kayaking
Cloudy and warmer than yesterday's 22, about 34 as I sit here listening to Morning Joe on Sirius Radio. We don't watch TV in the morning, like sitting in the living room, looking at the lake and listening either to NPR, when the signal is clear of Morning Joe, sometimes Fox News, just to get my blood moving early.  It's supposed to get in the 50's tomorrow, we will have to see.

Yesterday was an amazing day, clear skies, absolutely windless most of the day, so we took a hour and a half walk through Long Point Park, then kayaked later in the afternoon, breaking through the occasional skin of ice, usually in very shallow areas, like amongst the reeds towards Giarizzos.  The colors were spectacular though hard to capture on camera and only our hands got cold.  This may be our last kayaking of 2011 unless it clears up tomorrow.

I have decided to stop taking pictures each morning, just when I think it's an interesting shot of dawn.  Today, it's just another blah gray Chautauqua day, and I have too many of those.  So, if I am going to have a picture, I will have to get more original, not hard when with family but difficult when it's just Evie and me.

  2. That's just to get his blood moving. Fox gets him all riled up.
