Light Rain And Cloudy

7:35

This morning, with the rain and gray skies, also reminds me of Spring. It's warmed up some, to 47º and we may have had the last of snow but you never know in Chautauqua County. It's 9:10 and I just returned in rain from breakfast in Bemus. No kayaking today because of breakfast but with the rain, I am happy not to have gone for a paddle.

Yesterday was another fine Spring day, with lots of sun, and temperatures in the 40s and 50s. I was able to get in a good paddle, for close to an hour before driving to a yoga class at 10:00. Class was similar to Tuesdays because we had the same teacher, Tara. After class, I drove to the scrap metal yard on #374 in Blockville and dropped off our mini refrigerator. What a mess, all mud, water, and scrap metal.

I was home by noon and heated up the leftover pasta and mushrooms and finished the southwestern burrito from Tuesday. Waste not, want not. I watched my show and then relaxed for a couple of hours, reading some and napping. Evie was taking the day off from working out and had a nice lazy day. Around 3:30, I decided to wash our car since it was warm out, then set up a fishing line across the lakefront to keep the Canadian geese off our yards.

By 6:00, we were showered and cleaned up. We picked up our neighbors, Barb and Jim and drove to the Viking Club which just opened again on Wednesdays. There was a good crowd for Wings And Things but we were able to find a table in the bar. We caught up on Barb and Jim's travels south over wings and beer and it was a fun evening. We basically closed the place, not leaving until 8:15.

We watched our shows until 10:00, the usual, and went to bed, happy and full.
