Well, it's later than usual as I start the blog, after 9:30, mostly because I didn't get up until 7:40, and yesterday I didn't get up until 7:20. I finally figured out how to sleep in. When I wake at 6:00, just stay in bed and go back to sleep! This morning I woke to duck hunters at 6:00 and they have continued all morning. Despite waking up late, I did get in an hour on the lake, across to Long Point, and back to Wells Bay and home. The lake was calm, with hardly any wind, so it was a nice gray morning for kayaking.

Yesterday would best be described as a futbol Saturday. So after kayaking, breakfast and the blog, I watched the first half of the Morroco/Portugal match. At half-time, we decided to go for a walk out to Long Point so I missed the second half. We left for Long Point around 11:00, dropped the trash off at the Transfer Station and our walk was just what we needed, fresh, cold air and an easy walk out to the tip of Long Point and back, just over a mile. We stopped at the Bemus Grocery and picked up some ground beef for burgers and drove home.

Lunch was the leftover curry and rice and we then waited till 2:00, for the France/England match. I read and tried to nap but was ready to go at 2;00. We both watched the match, somewhat boring until England fell behind, eventually losing 2-1 because their striker, Harry Kane, missed the second of two penalty kicks. The rest of the afternoon, from 4:00 on, we read or watched some TV until it was time to make the burgers. We thought of french fries but took the easy way out, Bob Evans Mac N Cheese. We had a salad, and burgers, and Mac N Cheese, and we had an easy, tasty dinner. We were not sure what to watch until I remembered we had not started Season Two of White Lotus on HBOMax. So we watched the first three episodes, which set us up for the eventual death of one of the crazies. It's an entirely new cast except for two from Season One. We ended the night with Jeopardy, only to realize we had watched the episode the night before. Scary.
