It's 8:15 as I start the blog and I have been up since 6:00, out on the water by 7:00. The sky has been striking as it seemed to change every ten minutes as either the sun would come out or then hide behind the clouds. It was also an osprey morning as I followed four or five, as the male seemed to chase the females who often perched on a limb until chased off by the male. It was a delightful 70-minute paddle along Woodlawn, across to Long Point, then to Sandy Bottom, and home.
A Series Of Photos From Kayaking This Morning.
Tuesday was the epitome of a rainy day as it rained on and off the entire day although we only got an inch and a half of precipitation. It meant that we spent most of the day inside, wishing we could go out and get something done. Evie, however, figured out that it would be a good morning to hang blackout curtains in the bedroom so that took up a bit of time. We both did a few other things, Evie the laundry, me organizing my clothes, and helping with the laundry until noon. For lunch, I had cauliflower soup and chips and salsa and I watched another episode of my cop show.

Evie decided that since it was such a rainy day, she would get out shopping done for the week so she was off to Wegmans and TJ's at 1:00, while I finished lunch, read some, and napped. Evie didn't return until around 3:30 and weathered a heavy downpour on the way home. We unloaded the car, put things away, and then because the rain stopped briefly, we went in the front yard and did some trimming of the deadwood in our privets until it was time for Evie's Zoom called with her sisters.
After the call, we relaxed with salsa, chips, and a drink, the end of a lousy day's weather-wise but it felt good to just relax and enjoy the day's end. We had the leftover pasta and pizza for dinner, easy and still tasty and watched the last two episodes of Borgen which we highly recommend. We then watched Colbert before beddy by.
