It's 6:15, the sun just rose a few minutes ago and it's already 64º, a high of 80º later today after freeze warnings the past couple of days, typical Chautauqua spring weather. It's now 8:50 now, Evie's up finally, and I have been up for over three hours, kayaking for 50 minutes, listening to Bill Simmons, and writing the blog, waiting for Evie to get up.

Long Point |
Yesterday it drizzled on and off much of the morning so I never did get in a paddle. I had breakfast in Bemus at 8:00, then practiced yoga from 10:00 to 11:15, as one of two guys in the class. I then did a major grocery shopping at Wegmans, picking up enough for the weekend and beyond. It was not very crowded which made it pleasant to browse some. I came home in a drizzle and Evie had been working on Shutterfly Book #2. #1 Book is on its way and we should have it by Monday.

Evie's Yard |
Lunch was a couple of egg salad sandwiches, as I watched more Sopranos and a few minutes of basketball. I read and napped, what else to do, and woke to sunshine and blue skies as the drizzle finally stopped. Since it got nice, I could not pass up taking a paddle while Evie worked on the photographs and was out for 50 minutes on a beautiful afternoon and even got a photo of a bald eagle over near the reeds. I returned and did some yard work before we relaxed in the living room before dinner.

Bald Eagle Perched At Sandy Bottom |
We had our typical salmon dinner, marinated filet, with sides of rice and a salad. It tasted really good for some reason, better than usual. We must have been hungry. We watched Colbert, a couple of episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer, and Jeopardy, then some junk TV before bed. It turned out to be a good day.
