Woodstock, VT For The Weekend And Our Grandson's Graduation From Dartmouth

Rami and I are up early, at 5:30 because we have an eight hour drive ahead of us, to Woodstock, VT, for Evie and I where we are staying with Mac, a buddy from teaching.  Beth, Rami and family are staying in one of the Dartmouth dorms for two nights.  Tyler's graduation is not until Sunday at 9:00 AM.  The Abarrans hope to be off by 7:00 and we hope to follow by 8:00.

Hand Stand Of The Day
Yesterday was the first sunny and sort of warm day since the arrival of our kids.  It got up to 70 mid afternoon with a cool breeze, making it just about right to sit out on the dock and fish which Evie and Marisa did or cut the lawn, which Evie did.  Around 10:00, I drove off to the Subaru dealer to pick up my car and am keeping my fingers crossed that they were able to fix my tire.  So far, so good.

Catch Of The Week
We spent the day much like the day before actually, lots of fishing for the gals, Rami on the phone for business, taking time out to shop in Bemus Point with Beth late morning, then drive off to Lakewood to shop late afternoon, picking up things for the trip tomorrow to Hanover, New Hampshire.  I worked on organizing the garage, getting out all our summer chairs and tables which had been stored for the winter.  For now, they are under a tarp until we get back on Monday and summer really begins with 80ยบ days.  We both dread it.  We are cold weather people.

We were having some trouble with our wifi's consistency, so Spectrum sent over a guy, who changed our modem and hopefully, that will fix the problem.  We recognized the cable guy because he talked our ear off last time, a guy a friend of mine calls 98% because he talks 98% of the time.  He's a good guy really helpful I might add, just talkative.

By 4:00, we seemed to run out of gas, from playing, working, and packing or in Evie's case, thinking about what to pack. Because Marisa and Mitch were here, she could care less about packing until the last minute, very unlike her but I like it.

Mitch Excited
We decided to boat, finally, over to Bemus Point and eat at our old standby, the Seezurh House, a place the kids also enjoy.  We got out the fleeces, some blankets and took our time cruising over because of the choppy lake.  Bemus was quiet, lots of open spaces at the village dock, probably because it was not yet the weekend.
Waiting For Ice Cream

Heading Home
We had a good meal at the Seezurh House, three of us got the ribeye special and it was special, the rest assorted meals with a fried pickle for an appetizer.  When we left, the ice cream window next door was packed because the local middle school had put on a play and the kids and their parents were celebrating with a cone.  Many were in costume and a group, after Evie's pleading sang a song from the musical.

Middle School Thespians
We boated home in a hefty wind, everyone still cold despite the blankets and fleece.  I liked it.  When we got home, around 9:15, everyone went in to pack and I put the cover on the boat and cleaned off the dock for the weekend.  Everyone was through with packing by 9:45 we all adjourned to the TV room to watch our grandson Tyler's girlfriend run in the NCAA semifinals of 1500 in Oregon. Unfortunately, she did not run her best, in fact, was 9 seconds slower then her previous time when she won the Regionals in Lexington, KY.  She seemed to get blocked in right from the start and could never get beyond the pack.  Sad making.
