Blue Skies, Cool, and Sunny

Tyler's Prom

Hanging Out In the Kitchen, Graduation Night

I woke at 5:45, to blue skies and a chill outside when I let Cody out.  Ramiro and his Mom were already up, with their coffee, as she is flying back to Florida this morning after having been here since Thursday for Tyler's graduation ceremony.  They just left, 6:20, for La Guardia...let's hope the traffic is not bad at this hour.

Yesterday it rained most of the morning, cleared up in the afternoon, but we were at a loss as to what to do so our major job for the day was to do some errands and get some shopping done in Westport and Norwalk, where we went to Stew Leonard's.  Lots of traffic on Interstate # 95 because a tree had come down and Post Road was crowded and busy as well.  We decided on chicken teriyaki for dinner, so we picked up chicken at Stew's along with other goodies, as it's hard to leave there with just your shopping list.  While we were shopping, Ramiro and him Mom also went shopping to Best Buy to  get her a cover for her new IPAD mini, which she loves.

Bella, Lettie, Rami's sister's Dog
The rest of the afternoon we all hung out in the house, Rami taking conference calls, the rest of us getting dinner ready, playing on our IPADs, waiting for Marisa to come home at 3:00.  Tyler was also around on and off, so it was a good afternoon to just hang out.  As usual, I was having glitches with my photo program called Aperture, so Rami was helping me get it straightened out and organized.  He's the Zen Master when it comes to computers and photography, so when I have a problem, he can usually figure it out.  Late afternoon, Tyler went to work out and Marisa had Irish Dancing at 6:30 so she missed dinner.  Mitch called to say he was eating out, with the volleyball team, at Planet Pizza.  It's difficult to plan anything around here.
Grilled Chicken

About 6:30, Tyler and I  grilled the chicken thighs, while Beth and Evie got the  caprese salad and rice ready for our dinner.  Mitch came home from his team dinner just as we were sitting down to eat, so he sat with us as we ate.  And just as we finished, Marisa came home famished, so we set out a plate for her.  We sat around the TV room, watched some shows, but Rami and his Mom went to bed early, as they were leaving early morning.  The boys stayed up, the rest of us went to bed, which has become the norm around here, the oldsters going to bed before the youngsters.
