Once More to The Lake

Baba, Cody and Marisa

Washing Bikes
Skate Boarding
Tyler Listening to Phish

Up early again, around 5:00, just Evie and me this morning, as we head back to the lake.  It should be an easy drive, perhaps a thundershower or two, but not like the winter, when the roads can get icy.  It looks like it's going to be warmer in Chautauqua than here in Darien, which is unusual.

Yesterday was a typical last day in Darien, lots of shopping for us, lots of driving for Beth.  Because Rami worked on a project most of the day, Beth ended up driving Tyler to New Canaan for a driving lesson, then off to a pool party near Danbury, about thirty minutes away.  Evie and I went off to Kohls one final time, and I went to REI.  In between, we walked with the kids, washed Marisa's bikes, and helped her learn how to ride Mitch's ten speed which he rarely uses.  She learned quickly, loved riding it and shifting gears, so it was a good move. Mitch skate boarded with us as well, and later, Mitch and Marisa and I went off to the library to get a card for me, so i can get some ebooks, and books for both Mitch and Marisa.

Beth got back from her errands around 4:00 and we relaxed outside, watching the kids play on their bikes and boards.  Rami got back from a bike ride about that time as well.  We had juicy lucy's for dinner, along with fries, Mitch's favorite burger (we have lots of favorites I realize).  We walked the road again with the kids after dinner, as Marisa loves her bike.  We watched a bit of TV, another episode of The Wire, then to bed for all.  Mitch and Marisa have school today but Tyler is finished. '

Off to the lake in a bit.
