A Bit Overcast with Shower Later

6:22
Up at 6:20 to an orange sun, it's reflection on the lake like a spotlight.  Fifty three degrees, a quiet morning except for the noisy birds, especially the martins who are building their nests, having settled on a condo.  We have a couple of families as well sparrows unfortunately but we always seem to have one sparrow family.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, perfect for working outside, so Evie spent most of the day getting her garden in order and mowing the lawns.  The yard is starting to look amazing, like late spring, lots of green, a few flowers and bushes beginning to bloom, all the beds weeded and fresh looking because of the turned soil.  While she worked in the yard, I went to Yoga, then did some shopping at Walmart.  I also picked up my boat cover which had needed patching because of the snow storm.  I was not optimistic about the mending, but when I drove out to put my cover on, it fit perfectly and seemed to be as good as new.  Time will tell I guess.  Lots of neighbors up this weekend, as everyone had the same idea, to come up, open their homes and work in their yards,

Ron and Linda gave over around 6:00 and we sat outside for the first time this spring, with beers and appetizers, enjoying the green lawn's sweep and the lake.  It's the first time I really felt that summer is on its way.  Now all we need is our dock put in.  We went to our old stand by for dinner,  the Seezurh House, and it was crowded, though we managed to get the only available table when we walked in.  Bemus was busy, just about right for a spring night, as the ice cream parlor was open, with kids in line waiting for a cone, and the Casino is now open on weekends as well.
