Enjoying lunch

We spent an hour and a half walking in the Selleck Woods and Dunlap Nature Preserve in Darien.  I was not even aware of this great park until I googled hikes in Darien and this came up.  It's about ten minutes from Beth and Rami's house, literally behind the Trader Joe's, tucked in on the edge of #95 and the train into the city.  You take a road, which seems to lead to a complex of offices and just behind the last office building is the park and woods.  It's 57 acres if I remember correctly of woods, walks, a lake and all kinds of rock walls, paths, tree identifications, even faux birds in the trees for you to identify or find.  It's really a neat woods, lots of different paths, all that seem to eventually lead back to one of the two parking lots.  Both Mitch and Marisa ran all over the hills, up the rocks, sliding down in the leaves, as we walked along.  It was perfect out, around 50 degrees, just cold enough to need a light jacket.  We saw only a few other hikers, two with their dogs, as they are allowed with a leash.  We are going to come back soon, perhaps Easter morning if its a nice day.  Lettie, Rami's sister will be here, and I am sure she would enjoy this walk as well with her dog.
