A daily journal of our lives (begun in October 2010), in photos (many taken by my wife, Evie) and words, mostly from our home on Chautauqua Lake, in Western New York, where my wife Evie and I live, after my having retired from teaching English for forty-five years in Hawaii, Turkey, and Ohio. Twenty First Century Modern Family

Norman Rockwell

I was inspired by Norman Rockwell's portrait of the American family in the 1950's to emulate it with a modern version, albeit my daughter Jill's family her in Bristow. I didn't get it quite right but it was fun to try even if the kids, as usual, hated it. C'est la vie, cocuklar (children in Turkish).
