Wet, Gray, Cool, A Harbinger of Days to Come

It was overcast when I got up about 6:40, much cooler than yesterday's 60 degrees, about 37 when I got up.  Some light rain overnight, more leaves on the lawn, a placid lake, mostly gray sky, so different from the last mornings, though there's a beauty in the gray as well.

Went off to breakfast with my friends, and we stayed talking politics and local news until 9:30, as we had some good laughs over some of the debate gaffes last night, local politics, the joke which is our local newspaper, and all the gossip of the way things used to be.  All were in rare form.

Sun Set at 4:30 PM
We went out to eat with Ron and Linda at the Seezhurn House last night, as they had been for over three weeks.  It was fun to see them again, to catch up on all the news, and have good friends to go out with whenever we want.  They will be here till Tuesday; we leave for KC on Friday, so we have only 8 more days to enjoy the lake.  It looks like we could have a combination of rain/snow tonight, perhaps tomorrow, that kind of in between weather that's so annoying.

Can you name that flag?

  1. Flag of Wales? For the Davis heritage? And is that a cairn I see? I like it.
