Sunny and Mild Tuesday (Hiking Overland Trail near Panama)

8:05
I slept in till 6:40, strange for me, woke to a warm morning, 51 degrees, a mostly cloudy sky, light to the north however and it's supposed to be sunny and very warm this afternoon, in the high 60's.  All the weather patterns from the past 50 years should be thrown out the window, as we are in a new age of extremes, snowstorms in October on the East coast, balmy weather in November here at Chautauqua.

We did go to the girls' volleyball game last night at Jamestown Junior College, a match between Randolph and Chautauqua Lake.  Though the gym was full, it was an uninspiring game, neither team playing that well, and the fans did not seem into the game, so unlike last year's exciting game.  We then went to Taco Hut in downtown Jamestown, got three taco's for 2.79, quite good actually, and went home to watch Homeland, our new favorite series on Showtime, supposedly the new 24, as Claire Danes stars as a CIA agent, hot after a returned POW hero, who she's convinced has been turned.  It's pretty good.

We did walk a section of the Fred Cusimano Trail again yesterday, driving to Panama, getting on the trail at the Rt 476 parking area and walking north for about 45 minutes, then returning.  Like Saturday, it was a great walk, through, this time, the North Harmony Forest, 2500 acres, about 8 miles from our house.  It also would be a great snow shoeing trail, something we are looking forward to with great anticipation.

Today we vote, for what and whom, I am not sure as very little has been said.  The biggest race seems to be for North Harmony Road Supervisor.  The incumbent for some reason is not on the ballot, so he's been very vocal about getting his name written in, with the support of his fellow employees.  I am voting against him, why I am not sure, just for change.  Clearly, I am one of those written about in the book, THE MYTH OF THE RATIONAL VOTER.
