Nine Hours Till Woodstock, Vermont( 500 miles)

Long Point
A dark morning, as we are up at 6:00 and want to be on the road to see Mac in Woodstock, VT, by 7:00 though it doesn't really matter.  The weather does not look good here or for our trip.  High winds and rain here in Chautauqua, with the possibility of snow showers later in week. Great.  And out East, it looks rainy, cloudy as well, so the colors are not going to be what we hoped.

It should a little over 8 hours depending on traffic.  We head out #86 to Binghamton, then head north to Albany, then take Rt 4 through Vermont to Woodstock.  We will meet Mac in the late afternoon, then go out to dinner with him and the Conlys at the Prince and Pauper, Mac's favorite.  Time to get showered and pack and close up the house, then we are off.

We left for Vermont around 7:35 and 500 hundred miles later, some very heavy rains the last hour here in Vermont, and arrived around 4:30.  It rained on and off, but we did have some sunshine which was nice.
