Friday! Friday!

Heading toward Midway Park
A coolish morning, 65 when I got up, some fog on the lake, and it looks like a nice day though there's threats of thunderstorms later in the day, more tonight and tomorrow, or so they predict.  Halle, Marisa, and Marlena are up, playing a game on the IPad.  Hayden's still sleeping, in fact, she slept till 10:00 the other morning, the oldest, she also stays up reading.  Not sure of what today will bring, probably some tubing, fishing, swimming, of course, but it's also 'paint a rock day.'

Cooking French Fries

Beth takes off tomorrow morning, as Tyler is going off to crew camp at Dartmouth on Sunday.  It looks like Mitch and Marisa will stay for another week, with Jill and the girls.  Then, Beth will drive back on Saturday, Rami will fly in, and they will drive back to CT on Sunday.  Drew will come in Thursday night, and stay till Saturday, when they drive back to VA.

Five of us head off to the gym, Nick and I to shoot baskets the others to workout.  It was fairly crowded, filled with people from the CI.  Evie took the girls off to pick blueberries, a perfect morning to do so.  Unfortunately, she forgot her camera so no pictures this year.  We swam, ate lunch, then moved on to my big idea:  I have been collecting interesting shaped rocks, quite big ones actually, and I bought paints at Joanne's, so each grandchild had a rock to decorate.  At first they were a little reluctant but eventually they got into it and they created some very colorful and imaginative pieces.  Marisa and Marlena came back and wanted to do more, which was great.  It took us probably an hour and a half to get them all done.  Now we have to let them sit for a couple of days in the garage, so the paint won't get wet and they will be fairly permanent, I hope.  Finally, I had a good idea.

Chickens from the Lighthouse, corn, salad, garlic bread, and pasta for tonight, quick and easy as the adult children took the boat over to the Italian Fisherman to have a drink and appetizer.  We get to stay behind and enjoy the kids.  A good deal actually.
After dinner relaxing
