Sunny , Breezy, Cool, but Warming Up

Our Lawn in the Morning

Evie's garden in the morning
A beautiful morning, spent mostly, watering the g-dam lawn, making sure it does not dry out as we continue to have no rain.  I spent a couple of hours a day watering it with a hose, and if I use the sprinkler, I only can let it run 5 minutes every hour as we don't want the well to go dry.  C'est la vie.  Problems.

Evie is out cutting weeds, of course, as they are pretty bad this year.  Fortunately, it looks like a great day so far, not too cool, warming as the day goes, highs in the 70's, perfect Chautauqua weather,  I would say.  Most of our day will be spent watering or cutting weeds, not so bad a way to spend a day really.

Neighbors are starting to arrive, as you can see the parking lots and docks begin to fill with people up for the holiday, quite a difference from two days ago when the lake was practically empty.

Spent the day watering the lawn, cutting weeds, and relaxing on the dock with the latest Michael Connelly lawyer novel, THE FIFTH WITNESS.  So far so good.  It's a nice night, breezy but not to hot, good sleeping weather, about 73 right now, but it's getting warmer as each day moves towards the 4th of July.
