Stormy Lake, Rain, Heavy Winds and White Caps

Hayden and Halle one year ago, our Colorado Springs Visit
A very different day from the past few months, as the winds have been howling most of the night, gusts of up to fifty miles, the lakes choppy and rough, the rain pelting the windows, obscuring the view to Bemus, not a day to enjoy the outside obviously.  Our Slovenian flag is taking quite a beating but it's survived the winter, so it should handle this storm.  It's supposed to be like this most of the day.  A good day to paint!

We watched a fun Danish film last night called ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS, the story about six lonely hearts who meet during Italian lessons in a small suburban Danish town.  Each is interesting in their own way, their lives intersect, and they end up pairing off.  Another film that develops interesting characters, throws them together, and watches them fall in love. Good not great. Had parmesan crusted chicken breast for dinner with a sage cream sauce, quite nice but NO Tate's chocolate chip cookies.  I have to wait for today, alas.

The wind is still raging, pounding rain against the windows; I took the Slovenia flag and pole down because of the wind and my neighbor's martin house, put up this past weekend, has disappeared into the lake, victim of the high winds.  The white caps are hitting the bank, throwing water ten feet over the edge on to the lawn.
